LETS GET TO KNOW THE TYPES OF NAILS FOR BUILDING

Nails are one of the building materials, which are most often used to assist the construction process. There are many types of nails used in the construction process, from concrete nails to rivets. Here are the types of building nails that you should know.

  1. Concrete Nails
    These nails are designed to punch holes in concrete that has a strong and sturdy texture, so of course the material is made of hard and strong steel. There are two kinds of concrete nails, namely white concrete nails and black concrete nails.
  2. Wall Nails
    Wall nails or panel pins function almost the same as concrete nails, namely to punch holes in hard walls. The difference is that these nail function more to stick home decoration objects such as paintings, wall decorations and so on.
  3. Zinc Nails
    Better known as Umbrella Nails. Serves to connect sheets of zinc, asbestos and fiber. The head is in the shape of an umbrella and the stem is threaded and plain.
  4. Wooden Nails
    These nails are designed to attach materials from wood or other similar soft materials. Generally used in building construction, such as for gluing roofs, poles, installing window doors, making furniture such as tables and chairs and so on.
  5. Wire/Steel Nails
    This is one of the most common types of nails used by the public. On the head there are scratches or grids to withstand pressure during the beating process. The neck is made rough so that the adhesion and grip of this nail is stronger.
  6. Duplex Nails
    Usually used in the building casting process. The tip of the two-headed nail serves to hold the wire bonds from shifting. Made of steel and come in various sizes.
  7. Rivets Nails
    Widely used to tie the joints of the iron plate utilizing rivets. The installation of rivet nails is permanent, meaning that the connection that uses these nails cannot be removed and can only be dismantled by damaging it. Connections that use rivets are generally applied to bridges, buildings, tanks, and other constructions that require density.

So don't choose the wrong type of nails to use in building construction. GRC board itself also has 2 types of nails that can be used, namely galvanized and non-galvanized nails.
