TIPS FOR A COOLER HOME DURING THE DRY SEASON
Time passed, and the dry season finally arrived. Even though the weather is increasingly erratic, it doesn't hurt us to take simple precautions to avoid the room in the house getting hotter and stuffy when the dry season comes. Here, the GRC board will share some tips to make the house cooler, when the dry season arrives.
-
Block out the Sun with Curtains
Curtains can block incoming light, and while all blinds and roller blinds can do this job, you can install sunblock and thermal insulated blinds that are capable of blocking out the sun.
-
Implementing a Cross Ventilation System
The trick is to put two ventilation openings facing each other in a room. Air circulation will increase with hot air entering from one vent and out of the vent in front.
-
Use of Light Colors
The use of color on the walls in the house also affects the temperature in the house. Dark colors such as black or dark blue will absorb and store heat so that the room temperature stays hot longer.
-
Build a Vertical Garden
Plants will produce oxygen which helps lower the room temperature. You can increase this function by building a vertical garden at home.
-
Make the Ceilings of the House Higher
Build a house with high ceilings. That way, there is room for a more flexible air circulation system. The heat that enters from the roof and ceiling will be able to be rotated before descending further into the living area so that the indoor temperature can remain cool.
Superior products from the GRC board itself have been tested to withstand heat and all extreme weather. GRC board products are also asbestos-free and can be used for a long time. So what are you waiting for, don't make the wrong choice?
